He began as a club DJ in Washington, D.C. — holding residencies at Decades, POV at the W Hotel, Rosebar, Ultrabar, Eden, and Cities — before building DJ Garret Entertainment. Today he is the most requested Armenian wedding DJ on the East Coast, with multicultural wedding work across the DMV, the United States, Europe, and Mexico.
The story
From DC nightclubs to multicultural weddings.
The career started behind the decks of D.C.'s most prominent nightclubs. Residencies at Decades, POV at the W Hotel, Rosebar, Ultrabar, Eden, and Cities meant a different demographic, a different soundtrack, and a different room every weekend — and the same job on every one of them: read the floor and keep it moving.
Twenty years later, the rooms changed. Receptions, ceremonies, galas, milestone parties. The discipline didn't. Open-format mixing across hip-hop, house, EDM, top 40, Latin, and international — layered with the multicultural specialties that define the work today: Armenian, Persian, Arabic, and Turkish. Bilingual MC work. Cultural fluency built on years of doing it right.
DJ Garret Entertainment is based in Maryland, serving the DMV as the primary market and traveling for destination weddings worldwide. Past events have spanned Italy, Mexico, and venues across the United States. The Instagram following is real but not the headline; the resume is.
