Two cultural traditions, one family, one dance floor. The brief from Priya and Tony was simple: honor the sangeet, honor the Portuguese side, and keep both halves of the family on the floor together until last call. The room delivered.
Cocktail hour leaned into Indo-Portuguese fado-meets-Bollywood ambient sets, easing guests into a fusion night without ever announcing it. The reception opened on a sangeet-inspired entrance, layered into bossa nova during dinner, and ramped into open-format top-40 and house once dancing began. Bilingual MC work moved the room through formalities — first dance, parent dances, cake — without losing momentum.
